Fish Tank Moving Service
Moving a fish tank safely requires the right equipment, careful handling, and experienced movers who understand the challenges involved. From small home aquariums to large custom built tanks, we move fish tanks of all sizes.
Moving a fish tank requires more planning and care than many people expect. Large aquariums are heavy and fragile, while fish are highly sensitive to changes in temperature, oxygen levels, and water conditions. Without proper handling, a move can cause unnecessary stress for your fish or even damage the tank itself.
In Singapore, factors such as narrow HDB corridors, condo lift restrictions, and building access requirements can make the process even more challenging. This is why many homeowners turn to professional movers such as Rodex Movers, who bring over 18 years of moving experience to every job. Our team is trained to handle specialty and high-value fish tanks, and we follow a structured process from site assessment to final placement to ensure your tank and fish arrive safely.
Fish Tank Moving Rates in Singapore
Fish tank moving is priced based on the size, weight, and complexity of the tank. Because every setup is different, we do not publish a fixed rate list. Instead, we assess your specific situation and provide a transparent, non-obligatory quote before any commitment. And these are types of fish tanks we move :
Freshwater and Planted Aquariums
Pricing for freshwater and planted tanks is primarily based on tank size and floor access. These are the most common setups we handle and tend to be the most straightforward to price.
Marine and Reef Tanks
Marine and reef tank moves involve more preparation given the sensitivity of saltwater life and coral. Complexity of the setup and equipment involved will factor into the final quote.
Arowana Tanks
Arowana are high-value fish that require especially careful handling during a move. Handling requirements and tank dimensions are taken into account when quoting.
Large Tanks (4ft and Above) and Custom-Built Aquariums
For large or custom-built tanks, a site assessment is usually required before we can confirm pricing. This ensures we plan the right manpower, equipment, and route for a safe move.
Office and Commercial Display Tanks
Commercial aquarium relocations are quoted following a full site survey. Pricing depends on tank dimensions, location access, and the complexity of the reinstallation.
To get a quote, send us photos and measurements of your tank via WhatsApp, or book a site assessment.

Site Assessment
Before moving day, our team assesses lift dimensions, corridor widths, and doorway clearances at both locations. This step ensures the safest route is planned in advance so there are no surprises on the day.
Draining of Water
We fully drain your tank before transport. Moving a tank with water inside puts dangerous stress on the glass seams and adds significant weight, so this step is essential for a safe move.
Fish Handling and Temporary Containment
Your fish are carefully transferred into large fish bags filled with water taken directly from your tank. Each bag is inflated with pure oxygen and securely sealed for transport. This method keeps your fish safe and comfortable throughout the entire journey.
Dismantling of Equipment
Filters, pumps, lighting, and all associated equipment are carefully disconnected and dismantled before the move. Everything is packed and labelled so reinstallation at the new location is straightforward.
Packing and Protection of Aquarium Glass
The tank body, glass panels, and cabinet are wrapped with protective materials and fully secured before transport. Every surface is covered to prevent scratches, chips, and impact damage.
Transportation
Your tank, cabinet, equipment, fish bags, and accessories are transported together in our lorry to your new location. We handle all loading and unloading.
Reinstallation at the New Location
Our team reconnects and reinstalls all equipment at your new location including filters, pumps, and lighting so your tank is fully operational again.
Refilling of Water
We refill the tank at the new location and check that all equipment is running properly before we leave.
Placement and Positioning of the Tank
We place your tank exactly where you want it. If you need it repositioned on the day, just let us know.
